The Teenie Beanie Babies were individually packaged in small plastic bags and given to customers who purchased a Happy Meal. There were 12 different Teenie Beanie Baby animals in this promotion. Due to the success of the 1997 promotion, McDonalds ordered 240 million Teenie Beanie Babies for the 1998 promotion (20 million of each animal).
