The 1986 Topps Garbage Pail Kids Original Series 5 set has a total of 80 cards that make up a numerical set. The cards are numbered 167a-206a and 167b-206b. It takes a total of 88 cards to make a complete variation set. There are two different puzzles featured on the card backs for Original Series 5. ‘PUZZLE D’ features Handy Randy/Jordan Nuts and contains pieces with a ORANGE border, and ‘PUZZLE E’ features Dee Faced/Terri Cloth and contains pieces with a PURPLE border. Each puzzle contains 21 pieces. Each card measures approximately 3.5″ x 2.5″ x 1/32″ and doubles as a sticker which can be peeled off by the front of the card. The front of the card depicts one of the sets wild characters while the back of the card is reserved for a either a character profile which contains detailed information about a specific character or a puzzle piece.
